Victory In Trucking

Chaplain Bill Blackmon fell in love with trucks when he was a youngster. When he was only 8, he told his dad he was going to drive one of those big trucks one day. At 15, Bill left home. He was bound for Montana, but things don’t always go as planned. He ended up in CA. After a few months, he returned home and soon married Marla. By the age of 21, they had 3 children. He took his first OTR job when he was 23. Life was good, or so he thought. Alcohol, drugs, and the trucking lifestyle started to take their toll. But God…May 9, 1993, the Lord saved his soul. His life was radically changed. And Bill has never looked back. After Marla passed, Bill married Nancy. Together, they travel across America sharing the gospel. Bill is now president of Truck Stop Ministries, with chapels located at truck stops in 28 states. He is now living his dream: trucking and sharing Jesus with truckers.
