Gary Rayburn & Linda Rayburn

President & CEO of Lonesome Road Ministries

Lonesome Road Ministries began as a cassette tape ministry back in October of 2000. In April of 2001 I was ready to quit, the Church where I was going had shut the tape ministry that I started down and told me I couldn’t do a tape ministry there anymore. I thought well God I tried and failed I guess I will just quit. I know there are many out there that have felt like giving up, Quitting. I want to tell you what my mentor Ray Sisk told me that day I called him and told him I guess I am just going to have to quit. Ray Said, “Son you done put your hand to the plow, you can’t quit, if God has called you to do a tape ministry then you do a tape ministry. Over 3 million tapes, cd’s, and now collector cards over the last 23 years. God continues to bless our ministry. I hope this message encourages you to keep on doing what God has called you to do!

Fred & Kitty Mooney

Co-Host & Chief Editor

Fred was saved in June 1974 aboard the USS Ranger off the coast of Vietnam. After the service, he played drums for Gospel groups where he met his wife Kitty. In 1976 God healed him from a tragic industrial accident which could have ended up with him losing his hand; He was able to continue playing music for the Lord. In 2002 God healed him from prostate cancer.
According to a Gallup poll in June of 2023, in America 74% said they believe in God, this means 26% of Americans don’t believe in God at all. Clearly, we have slipped, thus prompting the message ” Hell to Shun and Heaven to Gain.” Fred hopes you will scan the code and give this message a listen.

Roger Barkley Jr

Chief Media & Technical Director

Roger is an over 40-year Veteran of Gospel Music, Multi-Award Winning Christian Artist & Musical Evangelist. As a father of 5, grandfather of 2, husband of 1, friend of many, and writer for multiple magazines and blogs, his unique look at today’s Headlines and stories of country life brings an exciting twist to the readers.

When asked about his ministry Roger said “I can remember the first time singing with my dad playing the guitar and standing beside my mom when I was 4 years old. I have always loved all types of music. My vision is to lead as many people to Christ through preaching, singing, sharing testimony, comedy, drama, and technology as possible. It has been said I am following in my dad’s footsteps and preaching between songs than behind the pulpit. I will have to admit that. I not only wish to be a reflection of my earthly father that taught me so much in my life but also I want people to see my Heavenly Father in me. I have been called a Christian Entertainer. I believe we can minister in an entertaining way. I also believe in almost 50 years of ministry I have found that we can use all different types of music to let people know the love of Jesus Christ. Currently, I am Artist In Residence at Leestown Gospel Church in Frankfort, KY where I lead worship when not spreading the Gospel elsewhere.” Roger Barkley Jr Website
